We marked the end of the academic year 2021-22 in the Classics Department with a trip to Greece for Years Eight, Nine and Ten. Forty-eight excited pupils and five equally excited teachers departed for Athens, and spent that evening watching the sunset at Cape Sounion, where we visited the Temple of Poseidon.

With fundraising able to return to some kind of ‘normal’ following Covid lockdowns, the academic year 2021-22 was very successful, raising over £15,000 for various charities. 

On Sunday 25 September celebrities, sports stars, teachers, friends and family will take part in The Big Push, a charity initiative to support pupil, Libby Parker, and other children who suffer with Long Covid.   

The pupils have produced a series of research and digital designs for the Young Fashion Designer UK 2022 competition. With the theme focussing on ‘Sustainability in Fashion and Textiles’.

Year Eight pupil Theo Houston has signed off the academic year, with the wonderful news that he will be playing Football for Aston Villa Academy next season.
