An Evening of Opera: Opera Worcester and RGS Perform ‘Dido and Aeneas’

It was a rather late night on Saturday for three keen RGS Tennis players, as they started their journey at midnight, travelling from Worcester to The National Tennis Centre in Roehampton.
A rather dismal Thursday afternoon was considerably brightened for eight Year Ten pupils who were selected to represent RGS Worcester, at this year’s ‘Advanced Mathematics Support Programme Maths Feast’.
Junior LitSoc enjoyed an evening of Gothic drama at Worcester’s Swan Theatre this week, watching the gripping adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s ‘The Strange case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde’.
It was 80 years ago when Doug Moseley (1942-46) joined RGS Worcester and last week he returned with an enthusiastic band of his family members, spanning four generations; five of whom are alumni, and two who are current pupils at the RGS Family of Schools.

Spectators enjoyed an evening of exciting football this week, as the 1st XI RGS Football team played against King’s School in the Football Challenge Cup match.
Talented RGS student artists are exhibiting artwork at Worcester Cathedral this week in an ‘Aspects of Worcester’ art exhibition.
Earlier this term a group of RGS fencers travelled to Shropshire for the West Midlands Age Group Epee Championships.
It has been a busy term so far for Rowing, with teams attending two important events in the Rowing calendar with the Wycliffe Big Head and Worcester Head. In school, the pupils have also enjoyed participating in the eagerly contested RGS House Rowing Tournament.
