This week, The RGS Literary Society welcomed Worcester’s Poet Laureate Adrian Couper. Ade came to speak to the pupils about the importance of the spoken word and how this particular form of poetry can reach the wider community.
Well done to the RGS Under 19 Netball team who competed in the Regional Finals last weekend. RGS had a strong start to the tournament winning our first two games convincingly against Thomas Alleyne’s High School and Hereford Sixth Form College.
Our Under 13A Hockey team became County Champions this week, with two wins and a draw to qualify for Regional Finals – well done girls!
Excitement is mounting at RGS as the 1st XI Football team prepares to compete in this year’s Challenge Cup. The RGS Worcester team will play against King’s School at Sixways Stadium, home of the Worcester Warriors, on Wednesday 16 February.
Earlier this week, former RGS student and singer songwriter Tazmin Barnes, was invited by the Chinese Embassy in London to perform at the annual Chinese New Year celebrations for His Excellency, Ambassador Zheng Zeguang.
The Modern Foreign Language Department at RGS Worcester welcomed 40 pupils this week from local primary schools Cherry Orchard Primary and Hollymount School, as well as from RGS Springfield for an interactive and fun Language Outreach event.
