As we welcomed pupils back to school this week to begin the Lent term, we are also delighted to welcome some new faces to the Teaching and Support staff. We wish them happy and successful careers at RGS Worcester.
RGS pupils, past and present, delighted audiences with performances at the ‘Young Musicians Concert’, at Hellens Manor in Herefordshire in December.
Congratulations to Year Seven pupil Cleo Whitbread who achieved 3rd and 4th place at the NSEA Regional Grassroots SJ Final held at Kings Equestrian Bromyard in Herefordshire before Christmas.
The RGS Boat Club was extremely busy last term, with over ninety pupils regularly rowing. Our newest rowers, pupils from Year Nine spent time working on their technique on and off the water and their development was a joy to watch and rowers from Year Ten showed a huge amount of commitment to the sport this term.
With the recent success of Max Verstappen’s and Red Bull Racing at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix just before Christmas, we were delighted to hear from RGS alumnus, Owen Carless (1995-02)
Being part of our local community is a valuable aspect of RGS life for pupils, teachers and parents alike. During the academic year 2020-21 alone, RGS Schools raised over £22,000 supporting various local initiatives and charitable campaigns.
With the next RGS Worcester Open Morning arranged for Saturday 22 January, we are delighted to invite prospective pupils from all Year groups and their families to visit the School and discover the breadth of opportunity that RGS Worcester has to offer.
Nothing demonstrates RGS’s Christmas festivities better than our Carol Service which took place on Wednesday evening in Worcester Cathedral.
Throughout the month of December, Year Eight pupils and their families have generously been creating and donating Christmas shoeboxes for the children who attend New Hope Children’s Charity in Worcester.
