On Monday our Lower Sixth Mathematicians travelled to Warwick University Arts Centre for a series of fascinating talks and lectures on Mathematics in action.

Delighted Year Eight Pupil Evie Powell has recently won both silver and bronze medals in competitions held at Worcester Judo Club.

On Monday 7 November The RGS Worcester Family of Schools united to support the 1st XV Rugby Squad at Sixways Stadium as they played in the 15th Modus Challenge Cup against King’s School. This year’s game was an exhilarating display of Senior School talent, dedication and teamwork which secured a thrilling win for RGS Worcester and earned both local and national press coverage, including the Daily Mail. 

The annual Remembrance Day Service took place on Friday 11 November with a service which gave pupils and staff the opportunity to honour and pay respect to those who gave their lives in the two World Wars and other conflicts.

Before the Half term break, we welcomed pupils and over 50 Lower School parents to Perrins Hall for an insight into our Digital Learning Programme (DLP).

Our A Level Maths students and some of the best Mathematicians in Year Eleven have recently taken part in the Senior Maths Challenge.

Before most pupils had returned to school after the Half term break, our GCSE Music pupils and some of our Music Scholars headed off to Birmingham to see Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto performed by the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra at Symphony Hall.

Following the success of the Modus Challenge Cup match on Monday and ahead of the Women’s Rugby World Cup Final on Saturday, RGS Worcester had the pleasure this week of hosting a talk by Donna Kennedy, a Scottish Rugby Union coach and former international player who played for the National team from 1993 to 2010.

The first half of the Michaelmas term came to a gallant, chivalrous, medieval conclusion for Year Seven English pupils who enjoyed a visit from two very special guests, Sir Bedivere and Sir Christofere.
