With the aim of putting Movember on the map here at RGS Worcester this November, seven members of staff formed the ‘RGSW Fuzzy Lipsters’, with the aim to raise awareness and funds for the charity.

The School was contacted by Network Rail recently as they wanted to thank seven girls in Years Eight and Ten who had worked together to get help for a man who was clearly distressed at Foregate Street Station.

Last Friday saw the filming of this year’s School Carol Service. Instead of the usual setting of Worcester Cathedral, the venue was a festively decorated Perrins Hall.

Congratulations to RGS Worcester’s new Rowing Captains, Phoebe Ellis-Tait and Daniel Hall. The second lockdown has given the two new Captains the opportunity to show leadership skills via the internet.

Year Eleven Psychology club has started in a flurry of colour, as students have been considering the famous ‘Stroop effect’ experiment (Stroop, 1935).

National Anti-Bullying week 2020 ran from 16 to 20 November. The theme this year was ‘United Against Bullying’, looking at how we are all parts in a puzzle and all have a role to play in stopping bullying.

Kasia Czyrko and Katy Marsh have triumphed again – reaching the Grand Final of their second national Debating competition in seven days.

It has been a pleasure for the Music Department to release its first virtual Concert series this month.

On Sunday 15 November, RGS Worcester attended one of the first big competitions of the debating season – the online Birmingham Schools, this year on Zoom.
