happiness, belonging and aspiration are prerequisites for success
The Grange Way
Step inside the Main Hall – where your child will attend assemblies, perform in concerts and have PE lessons – and you will be struck by an enormous display depicting ‘The Grange Way’. Three words jump out:
- Happy
- Belonging
- Aspiring
These words, written boldly on the wall in the heart of the school, sum up our values: we want your child to be happy at school, to know that they belong and to aspire to more than seems possible.
“pupils have excellent self-awareness, are self-assured, self-effacing and value being allowed to develop as individuals” – isi report
Why these values are so important to us
Why? We believe that happiness, belonging and aspiration are prerequisites for success. All three must coexist. If any of these vital ingredients are lacking, your child will not fulfil their potential. We are whole-hearted in our focus on these values, and we apply them to the whole school community – to you as parents and to staff. They say it takes a village to raise a child. When the village unites with a common purpose, the child, and the community, is raised higher.
