Our History curriculum
We encourage pupils to appreciate their heritage and to respect diversity of opinion. Your child will examine a time period stretching from late Saxon times through to the end of the Cold War and we also aim to immerse pupils in the drama of these past events. Pupils learn how to read sources and how to compare interpretations, as well as developing strong research skills.
Your child will experience the benefit of a huge range of resources: we have digitalised courses on the iTunesU platform that complement our textbooks on each module. We also possess a huge collection of video material on the School eStream site covering documentaries on every topic of our broad syllabus. Our section in the School Library boasts a broad collection of excellent books.
