A Level Politics
Why study Politics? Because it is live, exciting and relevant to our everyday existence!
From Westminster to Worcester, the decision-making processes in politics impinge on us all, whether it be Brexit or local bus and train services. An understanding of the processes and systems that lead to these decisions means a real grasp of the issues that impact us daily.

Developing independent thinking
Politics is available as an A Level subject in the Sixth Form. We aspire to develop Sixth Form students who have independent thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
Our students visit Parliament and the Rothermere American Institute in Oxford University in order to meet MPs and ex-US Congressmen and to find out about their lives in public service. We regularly stage our own mock elections and have a very good relationship with our local MP.
