Tennis for all Pupils

Tennis has become part of the PE Curriculum programme, with all pupils experiencing ‘touch’ Tennis from Years Seven-Nine. There are further opportunities should they wish to take the game to the next level, with Tennis being a Games option from Year Ten onwards. RGS runs a year-round after-school session in association with David Lloyd Leisure, as well as an after-school Club in the Trinity term.

Our aim is to ensure that every pupil will have the opportunity to play Tennis in an environment that is both enjoyable and appropriate to their standard whilst upholding our ‘Charter for Sport’ values.

RGS has a number of talented pupils who compete at a high level outside of school. We see it as our role to support their potential. Sports Scholarships for Tennis are available at 11+, 13+ and 16+ entry.
