As World leaders gather in Glasgow this week for COP26, the United Nations Climate Change Conference, an RGS pupil and keen young climate activist has also been taking a stand.
We welcome a new Sport to the RGS Co-curricular calendar this term – Table Tennis. Coached by Sport Graduate Assistant, Mr Fleming, the lunchtime club meets in Tom Savage Hall and offers pupils the opportunity to develop new skills and improve fitness and coordination.
Competitive Cross-Country fixtures have started once again this term, with RGS Worcester taking teams to run at events at Abberley Hall and Bromsgrove School.
The annual House Pumpkin Carving competition saw pupils exercising their artistic skills over the Half term break to create a host of imaginative designs carved from pumpkins.
During October, Worcester celebrated its proud association with renowned composer Sir Edward Elgar, during the city’s month-long ‘Autumn Elgar Festival’. At RGS we are similarly proud to honour the distinguished musician and his connection with the School.
We look forward to welcoming visitors to our Sixth Form Open Morning tomorrow and showcasing all that RGS Worcester can offer young people in the Sixth Form, at this important and formative stage of their education.
We were delighted to welcome the talented, professional pianist, Edward Leung to RGS Worcester this week.
RGS Worcester welcomed pupils from Nunnery Wood High School, Christopher Whitehead Language College and RGS Dodderhill this week to participate in the Faraday Challenge Day competition.
With the return to competitive sports once again this term, we have seen pupils flourish in the enjoyment gained from participating and being part of a team.
