Excitement is mounting for the forthcoming School Production of ‘Billy Elliot’ with opening night now just a few weeks away and as the first in-person School Drama Production since the pandemic.

Congratulations to Head of Netball, Miss Ellie Gibbons following the announcement this week of her selection for the Coventry based Superleague Netball team, the Wasps.

The RGS Worcester Family of Schools’ digital blueprint has once again been shared with educators and audiences far and wide.

The Class of 2011 enjoyed a very memorable ten-year reunion dinner in Perrins Hall on Saturday 16 October.

With the feeling that Autumn has very much arrived this week, the RGS Worecster Family of Schools enjoyed their Harvest Festival celebrations and assemblies.

It has been another busy fortnight in the Music Department, with two performance events from our older musicians. On Thursday 7 October, the Sixth Form musicians treated us to a high-quality evening showcase, with fifteen students performing solos or duets.

After an early 5.30am meet at RGS Worcester’s Design & Technology Department, we took the school minibus to the Goodwood race track for the Greenpower International Finals event.

This week the RGS Worcester Family of Schools delivered a special Apple Regional Training Centre (RTC) online event, aimed at advising the parental school community on the use of social media, screen-time as well as the wider aspects of navigating and parenting a digital childhood.

Last week we visited a local primary school, Our Lady Queen of Peace Primary School just over the River Severn in St John’s.

We congratulate RGS alumnus, Benjamin Caron (1985-94), who has recently been honoured with the accolade of winning an Emmy Award for his work on the popular Netflix series, The Crown.
