RGS has two newly published authors. Robbie MacDonald and James Rhodes in Year Nine were both winners of the 2020 SOS Mini-Saga Competition ‘Hunted’. James and Robbie’s class all entered this competition, which required pupils to devise and write an exciting and gripping adventure story around the theme ‘Hunted’.
RGS Worcester’s Public Exam results were the best in Worcester in 2019 and RGS featured as the top performing school locally in The Times’ Parent Power league tables.
We were thrilled to be able to finally welcome our pupils back into school last week. In addition to existing pupils, we also greeted an abundance of new pupils who were joining us into Years Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten and into our Sixth Form.
We are incredibly excited to be joined this term by some sporting stars who will be helping to foster our talented pupils at RGS Worcester.
The start of term for teachers normally begins with an INSET day. This involves training, communication about the new Academic year and ensuring teachers are up to speed with the latest safeguarding legislation.
Over the summer, the Physical Education department set the challenge for pupils to complete as many marathons as possible during the holiday period keeping up their fitness and motivation over the break.
After all the uncertainty over the grading system, the Year Eleven pupils were relieved and delighted with their results.
After such a challenging time for everyone, RGS Worcester students were relieved to achieve impressive A Level and BTEC examination results this year.
Mr Jones, Director of Innovation, and Mr Warne, Head of IT at RGS The Grange, have been asked to represent RGS Worcester at the Global Think Ahead Virtual iPad Education Summit on 9 and 16 July.
