As you’ll read in the Head’s welcome, we like to think of RGS Dodderhill as small but mighty. All the benefits of a nurturing, intimate setting with the outlook, opportunities, and outcomes of a much larger school.

Part of the RGS Family of Schools, RGS Dodderhill is the only independent school in Droitwich Spa. Your child can join our Nursery in Droitwich from the age of 2. Boys transfer seamlessly to RGS Worcester at age 11 for Senior School and girls at 16 for Sixth Form. Our joined-up approach means transitions are smooth, and learning continues uninterrupted.

The high standard of work on display in classrooms is a testament to our investment in ensuring your child is happy and settled. Specialist teaching in PE, Music, French, and IT give your child a real head-start from the off. All-important life skills such as cooking and swimming are included, as is an outdoor adventure through Forest School.

We understand the sacrifices you make as a parent to send your child to a private school. Long hours at work, scaled-back holiday plans, spending deliberations and compromises. That’s why we work hard to ensure our fees offer real value for money. Fees include wraparound care from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm, a delicious hot lunch daily and all stationery and textbooks. No hidden extras here.

Nothing symbolises the lovely green spaces of our seven-acre site better than the wellies lined up outside classrooms. Ours is a site which promotes and extends childhood: fresh air; exploring; controlled risk-taking (tree climbing encouraged); outdoor learning in the magical Forest School; letting off steam at the adventure playground; honing ball skills on the Astro. Your child will have many opportunities to compete in sports. It’s fair to say we outperform our size. Football, Hockey, Netball, Cricket, Triathlon, Swimming, Equestrian Events and Athletics all enjoy a high degree of success regionally and at national level thanks to excellent coaching. Our full-sized indoor Sports Hall means that rain never stops play.
9. Mighty music
Described by the American poet Henry Longfellow as the universal language of mankind, music matters here. Part of the curriculum, we encourage your child to express themselves and tap into that universal language. Choir, orchestra, musical theatre, individual lessons, composition, Garageband; we will help your child find the route into music that speaks to them personally.
