The Debating season for 2021-2022 is now underway with Senior debaters finding great success at Warwick Schools 2021, and the first round of the ESU Mace Competition.

An RGS Worcester pupil and his family got to enjoy a day with his dream car, a Ford Mustang, as a result of a school letter-writing exercise.

We have had a week of qualification for RGS Hockey, with three teams progressing to the next round of competitions. 

We are pleased to report a successful outing for RGS fencers last weekend. On Sunday, 21 November, a group of our fencers travelled to King Edward’s School in Edgbaston, to take part in their Individual Épée Competition.

I was thrilled to hear from Director of Sport, Mr Roots, that a number of pupils had asked for a Basketball Club, and if I would be willing to start a lunchtime club and potentially a Basketball team if numbers allowed.

Pupils from across the RGS Worcester Family of Schools enjoyed ‘Fun’-draising day last Friday, raising money for BBC Children In Need.

There was much excitement this week as the RGS community united to support the 2021 Modus Challenge Cup.

The set is built, the costumes are ready and the cast can’t wait to entertain and delight audiences next week in the much-anticipated RGS production, ‘Billy Elliott’.

It has been a busy time for RGS Hockey since returning from the Half term break.
